C2 Nerve Monitor

The C2 NerveMonitor (C2) is an electromyographic (EMG) monitor for intraoperative use during various types of procedures where nerves may be at risk due to unintentional manipulation.

This involves placing nerve monitoring electrodes in the appropriate muscle locations for the procedure bring performed. These electrodes are then connected to the C2 NerveMonitor which continuously monitors EMG activity from muscles innervated by the affected nerve. When a nerve has been activated/stimulated the system alerts the surgeon both visually and audially.

The use of monopolar and bipolar stimulating probes and dissection instruments can be used with the C2 NerveMonitor to locate, map nerves as well as verify nerve function and integrity.

The C2 Nerve Monitor combines simplicity of use with high quality stable EMG signals and acoustic tones output. It provides a clear visual display showingwaveform, trends and numbers, as well as auditory feedback.

A major strength of the C2 is the ability to document and produce fast and accurate reports. The C2 provides a barcode scanner to enable fast input of patient identification.

All the device’s components have been designed to meet European and international safety and quality standards.

Intraoperative Neuromonitoring is becoming the standard of care for a wide range of surgical procedures.

The main applications for the C2 are:
